Meet Jaibir Pannu, MD

Dr. Jaibir Pannu is a dedicate resident physician in Otolaryngology at Loma Linda University, where he is currently completing his residency, expected to conclude in June 2025. He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2020. Dr. Pannu has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of otolaryngology, with significant research on head and neck cancers, pediatric otolaryngology, and post-operative care. His work has been featured in high-impact journals such as Journal of Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology, Head - Neck, and The Laryngoscope.

Dr. Pannu's research interests include investigating survival outcomes for head and neck cancer patients, the impact of healthcare insurance on cancer mortality, and improving patient satisfaction with non-opioid post-operative analgesia. He has presented his research at various national and international conferences, including the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting and the American Thyroid Association Annual Meeting.

In addition to his academic and clinical work, Dr. Pannu has been deeply involved in community outreach, providing free cancer screenings and health services to underserved populations in the St. Louis area. His volunteer work extends to several public health initiatives focused on improving healthcare access.

Dr. Pannu is committed to ongoing professional development, attending specialized courses such as the 19th Annual State of the Art Concepts in Laryngeal Conservation Course and the Institute for Excellence in Upper Airway Stimulation for ENT Residents. He holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). His accolades include the Spark Microgrant from St. Louis University and the Otolaryngology Student Case Challenge. Award.
